blatnica - watson´s house - summer

spomínam si na nepublikovateľné slová chlapov zo záhradkárskej firmy, keď sa snažili vykopať diery na sadenie stromov a kríkov v zemi plnej skál... bola som na mieste prvý krát... bolo leto, stavba bola v plnom prúde. ..vysádzala sa záhrada... prekladať z angličtiny požiadavky architekta slovenským robotníkom bolo miestami nad moje sily... niekedy som to radšej neskúšala a zachovávala diplomatické ticho...

nasledujúca jesenná výsadba, alebo skôr brigáda (pracovali architekti spolu s domácimi) sa konala na dušičky - presne pred rokom... a ruže sa sadili do snehu...nakoniec sa všetko ujalo a toto leto mali takéto prekvapenie...

...ako na prázdninách u starej mamy...

I remember “slightly harsh” words of the gardeners when they were digging holes in even harsher stony ground to plant the trees and hedges...it was the first time that I had been here, in Blatnica...it was summer, and the house build was in full swing...the garden had been planted...translating requests of my French brother in law, who designed the garden, to the Slovak workers was at times beyond me... sometimes I didn’t bother to do it at all, keeping diplomatic silence...

the next planting was in the autumn around All Saints Day... this time, the owners were working together with the architects...exactly one year ago... they had to plant the roses in the first, unexpectedly fallen snow...in the end everything survived and this summer they had a very nice surprise...

...it resembled holidays at grandmother’s, in the countryside...

alebo spomienka na december 2012

toto bolo prvé fotenie domu  mojich priateľov v blatnici... konečne je dokončený... chýba niekoľko prvkov interiéru, dekorácie, ale na fotenie exteriérov je počasie ako stvorené... čerstvý sneh bez prestania prikrýva záhradu a stromy...a dotvára tým atmosféru pokoja a ticha na kraji dediny... sem-tam zabreše pes... počuť iba vŕzgajúci sneh pod nohami a tomuto domu, ktorý dominuje priestoru stoickou jednoduchou krásou pristane tento pokoj a bielo navôkol... jednoduché  až minimalistické tvary modernej drevenice kontrastujú s krivkami konárov... 

biela a drevo - to úplne stačí...

this was the first photoshoot that I did for my friends in Blatnica... their house is nearly finished... what is missing are some bits and pieces in the interior and some decorative touches, but this did not stop me from photographing the exterior... the weather was just made for it...constant snowfall is covering the garden and the trees, which gives an atmospehere of calmness and serenity, here on the edge of the village... sometimes you can hear a barking dog somewhere in the distance... the creaking sound of my footsteps in the freshly fallen snow is deafening in this silence which perfectly suits this stoic house dominating its white surroundings with its beauty... simple, minimalistic shapes of this modern wooden house contrasting well with the curves of the tree branches... 

the colours of white and wood are just enough...
